The living schedule

One week at a gym. Seven changes. The right people every time.

None of these is an emergency. They are the ordinary week: a coach out, a class added, a spot freed, a session moved, a program starting. Each one goes to the members it concerns, from a person they know, and to nobody else.

Coached, small-group trainingWhen a coach covers a session or a spot opens up, only that room needs the update.

The room, not the roster

Message the 5:30 class. Not all 400 members.

A gym already names its rooms: the format, the time slot, the program, the coach's people, the location. Audiences map onto them one for one. Members choose the classes they want to hear about on their preferences page; you assign the closed lists yourself.

A coach sends to their own classes

Invite each coach and grant them their own class audiences. Their 5:45 cancellation goes out from them, at 4:52, without waiting for a manager to wake up. A new gym starts with that approval switch off.

Only you reach everyone

Sending to All Members asks for a passkey or phone confirmation first. That keeps the everyone-send rare, which is what keeps it read.

Every send is signed

Each person signs in as themselves, so the audit trail shows who announced the closure, who covered the class and who approved what.

Onboarding seeds All Members, Schedule Changes, Open Spots, Challenges & Programs, Member Events, Personal Training and Coaches & Staff. Your formats, time slots, youth programs, run club and locations are yours to add by name.

How members join

Start with the members you already have.

Nobody re-collects anything. Members receive by email from the day you import them, and their messages move to the Blasts app the moment they connect it.

  1. 1CSV / Webhook

    Bring the list

Export the opted-in members from wherever you run memberships and upload the CSV, or point your sign-up form at the Hub's webhook or Zapier so new members are added the day they join. They receive updates by email through the Hub.

  2. 2In the Studio

Put the code where members already are

Your Hub prints an enrollment kit with a short code and a QR code. The front desk, the locker-room board and the welcome email are the three places that work. A member who installs the free Blasts app and enters the code is connected.

  3. 3Automatic Move

    It moves on its own

When a member connects, their updates move from email to their phone. Nothing to re-collect, nobody asked twice.

Studio front desk with check-in clipboard and Know Before You Go studio card
Know Before You GoPlace the Hub code on the check-in counter and in the member welcome email.

Members sign up on your forms and in your booking system, not on a FitnessBlasts form; the Hub receives them through the import, the webhook or Zapier. There is no connector to any membership or booking platform, and the Hub never sees who is booked.

You can export your member list: owners and admins, confirmed with a passkey or your phone, up to three downloads a day, every one logged.

Between visits, not just in them

The class is an hour. The membership is the other 167.

Retention is decided in the week a member did not come in. The studio that is still part of that week is the one they come back to. These are the four things a gym runs on FitnessBlasts between visits.

The week ahead

One note on Sunday evening: who is coaching, what changed, what is on Saturday. Written once as a Content Series, or repeated weekly from the composer.

The new-member welcome

Five messages over three weeks, timed from the day each member joins: what lands here, how the week works, the coaches, what is coming, and a person to reply to. With Hub Pro.

The challenge

Seven messages around one start date: the announcement, the sign-up reminder, the close, the evening-before logistics, day one at 6 a.m., a week-one check-in, the wrap-up. Set the date once. With Hub Pro.

The conversation

A reply becomes a one-to-one thread in a shared inbox: the class someone wants to move, the injury to train around, the membership question worth answering properly once. The coach who was granted that audience answers it.

New Member Welcome, as seeded in a fitness Hub

21-Day Onboarding Arc
  1. Day 0

Welcome, and thanks for joining. You're connected: schedule changes, open spots and what's coming this week land right here, and you choose which classes you hear about.

  2. Day 2

How the week works here: where the schedule lives, how to book a class, and what to bring for your first few sessions.

  3. Day 7

One week in. Here are the coaches who run the floor. A question about a class, a program or your membership? Just reply. A person answers.

  4. Day 14

What's coming up: this season's challenge, the weekend sessions and the workshops. Pick the ones you want to hear about.

  5. Day 21

Three weeks in. If a class isn't working for you, or you'd like to switch tracks or try a session with a coach, reply here and we'll sort it out together.

Sending, audiences, roles, conversations, the weekly Content Series and the email leg are included from the start. Journeys and Event Campaigns are Hub Pro, which unlocks at $500 in cumulative credit purchases tied to your gym.

The systems keep their jobs

Your booking system knows who is booked. Blasts reaches who needs to know.

FitnessBlasts works beside the tools a gym already runs on. It replaces none of them and reads none of them.

Bookings & Billing

Booking and membership software

Keeps doing:

Memberships, bookings, the standby list, check-in, billing, the automatic reminder that says you are booked at 6.

Keeps all of it. No connector, no sync. Members reach the Hub by CSV, webhook or Zapier.

Long-Form

Email

Keeps doing:

The newsletter, the monthly schedule, the paperwork, anything long.

Stays. It is also the first channel inside the Hub: a member on your list gets every update by email until they connect the app.

Public Energy

Social

Keeps doing:

Discovery, community, photos, the public energy that brings new people in.

Stays, for the people who have not joined yet. Members already paying should not have to check stories to learn the 6 a.m. is cancelled.

Direct Member Line

Blasts

Keeps doing:

The direct line to members who asked to hear from you: schedule changes, substitutes, open spots, program starts, coach notes, the week ahead.

The room, not the roster. Sent by the coach who knows. No SMS, no carrier fees, no mobile numbers to collect.

Mindbody, Zen Planner, Glofox, ABC, Wodify and the rest are named here only to say there is no connector to any of them, and none is planned as part of FitnessBlasts.

Members stay in control

They approved you. They can leave without telling you.

For Your Members

A connection has to exist first

Nobody can be reached on Blasts by a gym they have not approved, and nobody joins your email list without opting in.

Pick the classes, mute, quiet hours

On their preferences page a member chooses which classes and programs they hear about. In the Blasts app they can mute you for a day, set quiet hours so a 4:52 note does not wake them, or disconnect silently.

Encrypted, and gone in 30 days

Messages travel over encrypted connections, not the carrier network, and auto-delete after 30 days. No tracking pixels.

No numbers to collect

This is Blasts plus email. There is no spreadsheet of members' mobile numbers to gather, store or pass around.

And you stay in control of the team

Roles that match the floor

Owner, admin, coach (the leader role) and viewer. A coach reaches only the audiences you grant.

A passkey for the everyone-send

Sending to All Members, changing roles and removing people ask for a fresh confirmation.

Optional approval

If you want a manager to review a coach's Blasts before they go out, switch it on in Settings. A new gym starts with it off, so a cancellation never waits.

What it costs

One credit per member, per message. Bought once, never expires.

There is no subscription and nothing bills in a quiet month. A typed Blast to one member is one credit. Credits are prepaid on BlastCredits at standard pricing, and the class-level sends are cheap precisely because they go to the room and not the roster.

Blasts credits

One typed Blast, one member, one credit. No carrier fee.

Email credits, kept separate

Members still on email cost one email credit per email. Every new Hub includes 50; packs are bought from your Hub. As members connect the app, the email spend falls toward zero.

Standard pricing

There is no verification program for gyms and no tier to qualify for. A community fitness organization that is itself a registered nonprofit can apply for the nonprofit bonus like any other nonprofit.

Hub Pro

Journeys and Event Campaigns unlock at $500 in cumulative credit purchases tied to your gym. Everything else is included from the first send.

Setup

Five steps, one afternoon, one line in the welcome email forever.

For the owner, general manager or front desk lead who will actually do it.

  1. 1

Sign in and set up the gym's Hub

An operator signs in with an email code, a passkey or a Blasts sign-in and walks through onboarding: the gym's name, its timezone, a mailbox on its own domain as the account of record. No application, no verification, no purchase before you can look around.

  2. 2

Name the audiences the way members talk

Keep the seeded set, then add your formats and time slots by name: 6 AM Strength, Vinyasa, Kids Karate, Run Club, the second location. Set the class audiences to members choose and Coaches & Staff to the gym assigns.

  3. 3

Bring the list and put the code at the desk

Import the opted-in export, or connect the sign-up form. Print the enrollment kit for the front desk and the locker room, and paste the code into the welcome email.

  4. 4

    Give each coach their classes

Invite the general manager as an admin, each coach with their own class audiences, the head trainer for Personal Training, the bookkeeper as a viewer.

  5. 5

    Send the week ahead

Write once; it goes out as a Blast to connected members and by email, through the Hub, to everyone else on the list. Schedule it for Sunday evening and repeat it weekly.

Direct answers

DIRECT OPERATOR ANSWER

What is FitnessBlasts?

FitnessBlasts is the direct line from a gym, studio, box, martial-arts school or training business to its members. Members join by email or with the Blasts app; a change to the schedule, an open spot, a substitute coach or a program start goes to the class, program or group it concerns, and lands on the member's phone or, until they connect the Blasts app, in their email. The Hub is where the gym works: audiences for each class and program, one composer, replies in one shared inbox, and roles so a coach reaches their own class and nothing else. It is not booking or membership software and it connects to none: your booking system keeps the bookings; FitnessBlasts reaches the members who need to know.

Do members have to install an app before we can reach them?

No. A member on your list receives every message by email until they connect the Blasts app; when they do, the Hub notices and moves their messages to the app on its own. Blasts itself is connection-based: nobody can be reached on it by a gym they have not approved.

How do members join?

Import the opted-in member list from wherever you run memberships, or connect your sign-up form to the Hub's webhook or Zapier, and they are on the list. To connect the app, a member installs the free Blasts app and enters the short enrollment code from the front desk card, the locker-room board or the welcome email. Your Hub prints the kit with the code and a QR code.

People receive on the Blasts app for iOS or Android, on a browser extension for Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers, or in the web app at blasts.app.

Does it work with Mindbody, Zen Planner, Glofox, ABC or Wodify?

There is no connector to any of them, or to any other membership, booking, check-in, billing or member-app system, and none is planned as part of FitnessBlasts. Keep running all of that where you run it now. The Hub receives members through a CSV export, an inbound webhook, signed outbound events and a private Zapier app, and it never sees who is booked, who came or who is billed.

Can we send to just one class?

Yes, and that is the point. Name an audience once, a format, a time slot, a program, a location, personal-training clients or your coaches, and reach every member in it at the same time. A time slot can sit inside its format. Sending to All Members asks for a passkey or phone confirmation, which keeps the everyone-send rare enough that members still read it.

Can a coach send to their own class?

Yes. Owner has everything including billing. Admin reaches every audience and manages the team. Coach, the Hub's leader role, sends to and reads replies from only the audiences you grant, chosen one by one. Viewer is read-only. A new gym starts with coach approval off, so a 4:52 a.m. cancellation goes out the moment the coach sends it, and every message is signed by the person who sent it.

How do we tell members a spot opened up?

Keep the standby list you already keep in your booking system. When a place frees up, release it there first, then send a short message to Open Spots asking for a YES or NO reply. The Hub counts the replies; someone at the desk books the first person in. The Hub never books, holds, releases or charges for anything.

How do we get access to the Hub?

Sign in at /hub/signin/ with an email code, a passkey or a Blasts sign-in, and set the gym's Hub up through onboarding. There is no application and no verification. Sending, audiences, roles, conversations, Content Series and the email leg are there from the start; credits are bought on BlastCredits when you are ready to send. Hub Pro, which adds Journeys and Event Campaigns, unlocks at $500 in cumulative credit purchases tied to your gym.

Does the Hub replace our email?

No. The newsletter, the monthly schedule and the paperwork stay in email. Inside the Hub, email is the first channel for anyone on your list who has not connected the app: they get the same message by email through the Hub, metered in email credits. Every new Hub includes 50, and packs are bought from the Hub.

What does it cost to reach 400 members?

A typed Blast is one credit per member, so 400 credits for an all-member note. A substitute-coach note to a class of 25 costs 25. Credits are prepaid on BlastCredits, never expire and carry no subscription, so nothing bills in a quiet month.

Is this SMS?

No. There is no text-message capability here at all, no carrier fee and no spreadsheet of mobile numbers to collect. Messages travel over encrypted connections to the Blasts app, and by email to members who have not connected it yet.

Can we export our member list?

Yes. Owners and admins can download the list as a CSV from the Members page: email, name, how each person receives, their audiences and their dates. It asks for a passkey or phone confirmation, allows three downloads a day, and logs every one. If you ever leave, the Hub also emails you a complete export.

Is there a verification program for gyms?

No. Gyms, studios and clubs buy credits at standard BlastCredits pricing, and nothing about access depends on being approved for anything. Verified Nonprofit Savings is a separate program for registered nonprofits and churches; a community fitness organization that is itself a registered nonprofit can apply there, and it only adds bonus credits.

Where do we learn how the Hub works?

The Hub is shared across Blasts verticals and documented in one place, in gym and studio terms at blastshub.com/en/docs/for/fitness/: joining, audiences by class and program, sending, the email leg, conversations, campaigns, roles for coaches, integrations, credits and ownership. Inside your Hub the Help panel shows the same article next to the screen it describes.
